Make the switch to a heat pump system today! Opting for a newly installed ductless heat pump not only enhances your home's efficiency but also offers a multitude of benefits. When you choose heat pump installation, you're investing in a system that provides both heating and cooling from one unit, making it an incredibly versatile solution for year-round comfort. Browse the various benefits of a heat pump installation:

Energy Savings

Heat pumps are more efficient than traditional heating and air conditioning systems. Even with rising electrical rates, heat pumps are more efficient than systems that use oil, propane, or natural gas. Because every home is different, each home’s potential savings differs. Calculate your home’s estimated savings using the Efficiency Maine Heating Cost Comparison Calculator.

Air Conditioning

Common air conditioning methods such as window units or portable air conditioners are far more expensive to run than a heat pump. With a heat pump, you can experience comfort with the click of a button and eliminate the inconvenience of putting AC units in your windows and then taking them out again every year. Convenience is one of the many reasons people are making the investment in a heat pump!

Rebates and Incentives

Because heat pumps are more ecological than traditional heating systems, the federal government and the State of Maine are offering many incentives. In 2023, the federal government announced the Inflation Reduction Act, which offers a significant tax credit of up to $2,000 for most residents of Maine. The Heat Pump Installation Process

Installing a heat pump is a comprehensive process that requires professional expertise to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. At Infinity Heating and Cooling LLC, our team is fully experienced in the intricacies of heat pump installation. Here’s a step-by-step overview of the installation process:

  1. Initial Consultation and Assessment - A professional technician will visit your home to assess your heating and cooling needs, the size of your home, and the existing HVAC system. They will recommend the most suitable type of heat pump based on your climate, budget, and energy goals.
  2. Site Preparation - Once you have decided on the heat pump, our technician will prepare the installation site, which may involve clearing the area and ensuring that there is adequate space for the outdoor unit. For ductless systems, they will determine the best locations for indoor units and install mounting brackets.
  3. Permits and Inspections - Our installer will obtain any necessary permits and ensure that the installation complies with local building codes and regulations. They will also schedule inspections to ensure that the installation meets safety and performance standards.
  4. Installation of the Outdoor Unit - The outdoor unit will be securely mounted on a stable and level surface (typically on a concrete pad). Electrical connections will be made, and the refrigerant lines will be run from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit(s).
  5. Installation of the Indoor Unit(s) - For ductless systems, the indoor units will be mounted on walls or ceilings in the desired locations. For ducted systems, the existing ductwork will be inspected and modified if necessary to ensure proper airflow.
  6. Refrigerant Charging and System Testing - Our technician will charge the system with the appropriate amount of refrigerant. They will then test the system to ensure that it is operating efficiently and safely.
  7. Final Inspection and Customer Training - Once the installation is complete, a final inspection will be conducted to ensure everything is functioning properly. The technician will provide you with a user manual and train you on how to operate and maintain your new heat pump system.
